Legal service

Through our legal aid unit, we offer legal aid and legal service to member of indigenous community with view of ensuring access to Court and remedy. We undertake strategic and Constitutional litigation on matters affecting collective community rights and resources.

Our mission is to ensure that justice is accessible to those who need it most, regardless of their socio-economic status. Through our comprehensive legal services, we aim to create a society where everyone's rights are valued, respected and protected.

Our approach is friendly, direct, and inclusive, ensuring that our legal services are accessible and effective for those who need them most. We believe in building trust and fostering long-term relationships with the communities we serve, working collaboratively to address their legal challenges and promote justice.

Advocacy:

On behalf of Indigenous People, we undertake advocacy in Tanzania and at international level with view of addressing systemic marginalization of indigenous people. We advocate for legal, policy and structural changes to uplift indigenous people rights

Cultural Heritage Preservation:

We document, indigenous community cultural, traditional, spiritual site and resources with view of preserving indigenous knowledge and resource for future.

Economic empowerment:

Supporting sustainable business ventures and community development projects. We believe in a society where everyone has equal chance of opportunity in all spheres of life

Gender mainstreaming:

In all our programs, we ensure that Women, children’s and Erdely people’s interest are in the forefront of our advocacy

Human Rights Monitoring and Research:

We are making human rights monitoring in Tanzania and conduct strategic research on human rights, land rights, environmental justice and rule of law.

Rule of Law and Democratization:

We are seeking to create a society enjoined by respect of rule of law, human rights, democracy and the judiciary which is independent.
